Giving back

Our CEO Sam is passionate about giving back to society with charitable giving. Nomad Home her charitable foundation is under development and hopes to enable members of the homeless community to have the chance of respite and to experience what we all take for granted; a roof over our heads.

Our charitable page will be coming soon, so check back to join us in our quest to ease the lives of others less fortunate.

A long standing collaboration between Sam and Maggie’s Cancer Centres led to Sam’s brainchild, ‘ The Surrey Cycle Challenge’ which was born in the summer of 2021. Lydia, Maggie’s Centre Fundraising Manager at The Royal Marsden Hospital has been instrumental in making this an annual event to be proud of and this year Nomad Stone could not be more proud to be a sponsor of the event which takes participants on a 50 or 100 mile route from the Maggie’s Royal Marsden Centre through the breath taking scenery of the Surrey Hills, stopping at the top of Box Hill to take in the views.

Around 70 dedicated and fit riders grabbed their bikes and convinced their family and friends to sponsor them for this, our annual Surrey Cycle Ride 2023. Listening to the emotional stories behind why these generous folk gave up their time, energy and enthusiasm to cycle the distance was truly heart warming, to say the least.

Huge thanks to all of those who took part, Lydia (fund raising manager), Kate and Maddie – all of whom give so much to cancer sufferers and their families all year round.
